The Trainer Room provides stability and encourages steps toward independence:

Theresa:  My family and I moved from Louisiana to Oregon when I was eleven so that I could receive a better education. I have worked at St Clare Preschool since I was fifteen years old. I have a Bachelors in Child and Family Studies, specializing in Elementary Education from Portland State University. In my free time I enjoy backpacking and camping with my husband and family. I have studied Tae Kwon Do and received my black belt in 2009. My practice reflects my passion for physical education and health. I also would like to bring environmental education into the classroom. I am very excited to be teaching here at St Clare Preschool. I hope to teach the children to foster a love for each other and the environment.

Brittany: I I have been working with children since I was old enough to watch my two little brothers, I also volunteered in my volleyball coach's second grade classroom in high school. I looked forward to it so much! After high school , I volunteered at an after school program with my tribe, the Ho-Chunk Nation from Wisconsin as much as I could while attending college to become a teacher. I took a break from the University in Wisconsin to become a Massage Therapist for a few years, but came righ back to working with children and eventually graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with an Art Education Degree, certified ages birth through 12th grade. I have experience working with every age group and every subject you could imagine and pride my experience working with all different types of backgrounds. I have taught in an International school where 28 different languages were spoken to working after school with kids that barely had a home, all in one day! I love variety and the energy that kids have no matter what their circumstance.
