St Clare Preschool is a Catholic early childhood education program that fosters joy, curiosity, confidence and spiritual connection in a welcoming community.
The Pre-K Room offers an opportunity for children to start the journey to Kindergarten through structure and developing social skills:
Dianna: I have been with St. Clare since it opened in 1997. I have a AA degree in Early Childhood Education, and also have a Montessori degree. I have more than 30 years of experience working with children from ages 21/2 to 6 years old. I enjoy working with children as they are very excited about learning and experiencing new things. Children are never boring and keep things fresh and new year after year. I am married and have two grown children, Jennie and Kim, a grandson Brandon and a granddaughter MaKayla. We enjoy camping, fishing, hiking and spending time together.
Bernalyn: I am Filipino and speak Tagalog fluently. I came to America when I was ten years old. After I got married in 2005 we moved to Happy Valley. I have a son named Keoni and a daughter named Kalia, they both went through St Clare Preschool and are now in elementary school. I received an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Mt. Hood Community College in 2003. I have been an Infant/Toddler teacher for two years, I also taught in the Trainer Class for 10 years, I am very excited to be joining the PreK class. I am looking forward to providing activities and opportunities that encourage curiosity, exploration and problem-solving appropriate to the developmental levels and learning styles of the children in my classroom. The children are a joy to work with and I feel it is a wonderful opportunity to help them learn and grow in so many ways.
